ATAHAN TOPCU ARCHITECTURE

Atahan Topçu Architecture is an architectural practice that was established in Izmir in 2021 and aims to increase the common life quality in principle. It actively carries out application and design activities and also participates in national and international competitions.

Atahan Topçu received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Bilkent University (2017) in Ankara, Turkey with Honours. He was awarded the “gold prize” in The Architecture Master Prize in 2016 with his team during Bilkent years. 

 

He pursued his academic career with an M.Arch degree from the Architectural Association, Design Research Lab (2019) in London, UK. He has grounded his thesis research on the game-based connection between urban planning and housing by utilizing advanced digital fabrication 

techniques.

 

After having some working experience in architectural offices, in 2020, he founded Topcu Architecture to explore how his practice makes a reasonable impact on human habitation in general. Through this path, He has been awarded in several national and international architectural competitions. Besides he is teaching at the architectural design studios of Izmir Institute of Technology (IYTE) as a part-time instructor.
